There’s always room to grow a little more, isn’t there? A little wiser, a little stronger, a little anything…never stop! Janice is no exception. She takes her years of beading experience and tries something new with a classic project: This classic mala comes with a matching “wrist mala.” One uses Tuff Cord, the other chain…it’s an experiment in something new. How fun! Janice has dubbed her wrist mala “Spirit Animal,” and it’s a divine match to her classic mala. JP is back on the west coast for this special project, and she will share the different needles used with knotting to give you the most options…learn a little with us this week, won’t you?
Check out our Recipe Page for the basics and make your own colorways. Enjoy!

Project Map
Take peek at these layouts to clarify which ingredients are used in which project. Both have large-holed focal beads, a briolette, a charm, and a tassel made with Tuff Cord (no longer available, replaced with Micro C-Lon!) and C-Lon, and Janice also uses two of her rondelles in the wrist mala and saves the rest to use in the necklace. Janice's wrist mala is strung with large-hole beads (no longer available, we suggest using more 8mm Rounds and stringing as you would a regular mala instead of stringing something on chain) on a fine chain, whereas her necklace is knotted on Tuff Cord. Enjoy!
