Coupon Code 101
When there's a sale or a giveaway at beadshop.com, you'll want to get that order placed smoothly! But wait...Where does that coupon code go? And how to you get the giveaway??
Here are some helpful tips and tricks to get you through the checkout process easily, no matter what kind of device you are using.
When you have finished shopping, head to your cart.
-On a desktop or laptop computer, you can do this by clicking “CART” found on the top right corner of the page.
-On a mobile device, you can do this by tapping the cart-shaped icon found on the top left corner of the page.
Once there, you’ll see a list of all the items you are about to purchase. This is a great time to review your items. Have you forgotten anything? Need to switch out a color? You can delete items or change quantities here as well.
Below the list is a little box that says “Special instructions for seller” and this is where you’d write in any notes for us. We refer to these as “Order Notes” or "Shipping Notes" often, if you hear us chat about them on a live show. If you have a giveaway phrase or need to let the us know about anything, this is the spot to type it!
Now you've clicked “check out” and have been brought to a new page. This is where you will begin to fill out your information, AND where you can add a Gift Card, Coupon, or Reward. Be sure your code is current, spelled correctly, and entered with no spaces. If your Reward is not working at checkout, it's likely for one of the following reasons:
-Your minimum purchase amount has not been met.
-What looks like a letter O might be a number 0, and vice versa...try both ways or copy/paste your code.
-You're already using a different coupon code. Remember, REWARDS ARE COUPONS!!
WHERE IS THE COUPON CODE BOX? This is where things will differ on a computer versus a mobile device.
ON A DESKTOP OR LAPTOP:
The code box is on the far right. Click the grey “Apply” button next to the box, and watch your total price DROP! Be sure to do this before clicking an "Express Checkout" option or continuing to the next page.
The code box is hidden. We cannot change this. Before selecting an Express Checkout option, do this: Tap the blue link next to the shopping cart icon that says "Show order summary" with a down arrow. Now you'll see your items again, and below that, the code box. Type in your code, tap the grey arrow button next to the box to apply.
There IS an option to add a code on the final page of checkout, at payment. The box is not hidden on that page. However, if you select an Express Checkout option, the only time to add your code is now, before selecting Express.
