Some of the first beads Kate collected were trade beads...with this collection Kate relives the thrill of discovering a new treasure, finding a vintage beauty, exploring the intricacies of lost wax castings and chevrons. When our African trader was in town recently Kate simply couldn't get enough of some of these amazing finds--literally! Knowing they were must-have for beadshop but their quantities were limited she started curating this collection, Sun Chaser.
With them, she's created a multi-strand necklace on Waxed Linen with leather accents. Filling each strand with a variety of beads, her necklace quickly took shape. Shades of mustard, bark, and brass are set among pockets of bold red. This vibrant design is one she'll treasure...and you can, too!
