Energized by the bold, strong colors in Pan African flags, Janice created a 5 Wrap Tahoe which seeks to celebrate national pride. “The first bead I ever fell in love with was from Africa and I bet it will be an African bead I string last at the end of my career….We’ll see!” An easy, leather wrap bracelet project, 5 Wrap uses 1.0mm and 1.5mm leather and TierraCast Transition metal beads in an easy 2 hour project. It is sometimes hard to fit all ends of the leather through the Transition Leather Crimps, especially as you feed that extra 1.0mm back through at the end.
(Metallic Indian Leather is inconsistent at times and can go from thin at one end to a thicker diameter at the other.)
If you are having trouble, you will need to purchase a larger crimp, Evolve, which will fit all the leather through.
Our original glass Padre Beads are no longer available, and we have replaced with new Popcorn Padre colors that may differ slightly. Most Popcorn Padre beads have a 1mm hole, but hole sizes can vary! Test your beads first to be sure!
