Rainbow Odyssey

Project and Sample by Janice Parsons
Janice fell in love with these two Padre mixes...naming them Circus and Mykonos, she felt that the colors looked so lovely blended together on the strand, but wanted to explore color blocking with them. Thus, this ombré Odyssey was born! Using a large ring (JP chose the 1.25” Hammertone ring for this) as a clasp, this necklace starts at the ring and wraps back through it to be worn lariat-style. Long enough to be worn wrapped twice for a shorter look, or keep it long! It’s up to you.
Janice started with five lengths of waxed linen cut to two yards each. She doubled these over the ring and secured them with a silk wrap in Regular C-Lon. From there she added beads that she had organized by color, knotting them in place as she saw fir in the traditional Odyssey style we’ve been doing for years! The ends of each strand have been weighted with a metal bead and secured with a knot...Janice chose 2 Baule, 2 Faceted Tubes, and 1 Textured Tube...you can do as she did or “choose your own adventure” using our recipe, above!
