Pearl Knotting Basics
Project Map
Get yer basics here, get yer basics! We've done a number of pearl knotting projects over the years and wanted a spot to easily link to them for your reference.
We've included links in the recipe above to all your essentials, plus added some basics to those "shoppable windows" though far more colors, sizes, and styles can be found through the recipe links. We think Size 4 Griffon or Size F Spooled Silks are great go-to options for most pearls. Use a Fine or Medium Flexible Eye Needle with Spooled Silk. Your options for clasps, bullion, end tips, tools, and more are up to you and the methods you like best!
Our very first pearl knotting project, Tin Cup...this started it all! From here we created a variety of other Float Necklaces over the years.
With Contemporary Bead Knotting we have a slew of great examples...multi-strands, single strands, gem knotting, using bullion and different end tips...it's here!
In Kate's Mix Projects and Curated Collection Projects you'll find a bunch of knotted pieces we created with our limited edition kits and mixes.
