Based on design by Brittany Ketcham
Sample by Colette Bakke
Ready to wade into the warm, secluded waters pictured in this photograph, Colette created a 4 Wrap Mosaic Bracelet using an assortment of beads that reflect the colors in the picture. From the soft blues and grays of the rocks to the bright reflections in the green water, Colette has captured the essence of an island paradise. Inspiration photo was taken by Nikos Papavasileiou.
This technique of using a photograph or artwork to map out your color selection is not new to us here. Since the old days at The Bead Shop, Janice has been sharing her love of color and how it can actually inform your bead choices and designs. Take a few minutes and download our handout, Tricks of the Trade.
And don’t forget, we have a wonderful video and a companion handout for this technique. Enjoy!
