Spectrum — April 2026 Monthly Mix Restock
Inspired by the visionary work of Hilma af Klint, our Spectrum mix draws from the radiant geometry and symbolic color language of her groundbreaking painting ‘Altarpiece No. 1’. A true pioneer of abstract art, af Klint explored the unseen. Her work translates energy, balance, and spiritual harmony into bold, luminous forms.
This mix captures that same sense of movement and transformation through a shifting palette of warm golds, soft lilacs, dusky mauves, mossy greens, and flashes of iridescent light. Like a prism unfolding, each bead reflects a different facet of color and depth, creating a blend that feels both grounded and ethereal.
Featuring a curated selection of Half Tila beads, Spectrum offers a beautifully structured yet dynamic mix. It’s perfect for designs that play with pattern, symmetry, and flow.
Miranda selected both the artist and the inspiring piece, while Janice thoughtfully curated the mix itself, bringing the vision to life bead by bead.
Let Spectrum inspire your next creation with its balance of color, light, and intention, where art and energy meet in every bead.
Artist Inspiration: Hilma af Klint was a Swedish artist and mystic whose work quietly reshaped the history of modern art. Born in 1862, she was creating bold, abstract paintings. She kept much of her work private during her lifetime, believing the world wasn’t ready to understand it. She insisted that her paintings be kept out of the public eye until 20 years after her death. The first public showing of her works was in 1986, over 40 years after her death in 1944.
Deeply influenced by spirituality, science, and the idea of unseen forces, af Klint’s art explores themes of balance, duality, and transformation through vivid color, geometric forms, and symbolic imagery. Her groundbreaking ‘Paintings for the Temple’ series, created in the early 1900s, reflects her vision of art as a bridge between the physical and the spiritual.
Painting pictured: 'Altarpiece No. 1' was created in 1907, as part of Hilma af Klint’s collection, ‘Paintings for the Temple’.
