Fall Gourds Wraps

Our Farmer’s Market wraps have been languishing this year! But not to worry, Alley has harvested a bumper crop of Fall Gourds this autumn…inspired by picturesque pumpkins, Alley created the Fall Gourds Monthly Mix for October 2019, and these gorgeous wrap bracelets to go with it. The original and main wrap has two accompanying 2-wraps, as you can see, with patterns pulled from the original wrap. See how changing up the leather and stringing material colors can change the whole look of the Mix? Alley, you made a winner!

Instructions For the Original Wrap's Strung Beads Section (first wrap):

1. Cut two (2) 2-yard lengths of Fine C-Lon.
2. Start at the button and string the C-Lon through the shank folding the 2 strands in half.  You will now have 4 strands.
3. Secure the button to a macrame board and using the two outside strands of C-Lon, macramé a short section of knots to hold all strands together.
4. String all 4 strands through the Pony Express and the Current beads.
5. String each strand separately beginning with a few 8/0's, then the larger beads, and then taper back with a few 8/0's.
6. Run all strands through the Current and Pony Express beads.
7. Again, using the  outer strands of C-Lon, macramé a section of flat knots long enough to slip through the leather loop of the laddered portion of the bracelet and fold back on itself.
8. String the  center threads back through the Pony Express and Current.  This will create the loop of macrame.
9. With outer threads, tie the loop together and macramé a few knots to secure.  Adding a few drops of Hypo Cement under the knots will help secure this closure.
10. Run the 2 remaining threads through the Pony Express.  Add a drop or 2 of Hypo Cement and tie a secure knot around all threads (between the Pony Express and Current).
11. Run the 2 remaining tails through the Current and repeat the glued knot.  The large hole beads will conceal the knots.
12. Let all glue dry for 24 hours before clipping the tails.

Alley picked one specific section of her wrap to replicate in this separate, 2-wrap design. We love that Zig Zag look! Definitely reminds of of Argyle, too! Using some leftovers and some new items, here's what you'll need in addition:
1 Flower of Life Button-Antique Silver
1 Spool Argentum Fine C-Lon
1 Pkg 2mm Metallic Cement Leather
1 Pkg Pony Beads- Silver
(From the original Fall Gourds wrap, use leftover Fall Gourds Monthly Mix**, 1 Matte Natural Star Cut, and 1 6mm Fire Polish in Luster Stone Gray) 

Blooms 2-Wrap
Alley picked one specific section of her wrap to replicate in a  separate, 2-wrap design. Like little flowers or a bird's eye view of pumpkins...so cute! We also love the addition of the leaf dangles. Using some leftovers and some new items, here's what you'll need in addition:
1 Bali Button- Copper
1 Spool Cocoa Fine C-Lon
1 Pkg 2mm Distressed Gray Leather
3 Maple Leaves- Jet Bronze Wash
1 Pkg Pony Beads- Antique Copper
1 Tube 6/0 Metal Seed Beads Antique Copper Plate
1 Pkg 9mm Oval Coil Jump Rings- Antique Copper 
1 Pkg 4mm/20g Oval Jump Rings- Antique Copper
1 Pkg 1.5" Head Pins- Antique Copper
(From the original Fall Gourds wrap, use leftover Fall Gourds Monthly Mix** and 2 6mm Fire Polish in Luster Stone Gray) 

**NOTE: You may need two tubes of Fall Gourds if you plan on making all three bracelets! If purchasing individual tubes of each color, you're a-ok with one tube each.
