Project and Sample by Kate Richbourg
Inspired by the vintage feeling of the carrier beads and her love of cuff bracelets, Kate created this memory wire masterpiece on July 13th’s Free Tip Friday episode. Quick to put together, fun to wear, and easily adaptable to a multitude of color palettes, we think this is a real winner!
This project originally aired as a Free Tip Friday in July of 2018, you can view Kate’s original blog post companion to this project here. Enjoy!
Additional Learning:
Kate cuts four coils of Memory wire and glues a single 4mm Fire Polish bead to the end of each one, then lets the glue set. Once set, she strings her Carrier Beads and 4mm Fire Polish on in a pattern to create this look. She trims the coils as necessary towards the end, and again glues a single 4mm Fire Polish at each closing end, with the exception of one coil’s end which she uses a Round Nose Plier to curl in on itself. Kate adds her charm to this loop, opening it like you would a jump ring with her Chain Nose Pliers. Cute!
Choose the Memory Wire Size that best suits you…we carry it in 2” and in 2.25”.
