Tibetan Heart and Cross on Black Agate-Vase 30x10mm

Etched into the black agate*, each heart and cross design will catch your eye and protect you from negativity and evil spirts. And, because it's a bottle bead, it will capture that energy and send it on its way! Ever since Kate's Tucson Live Sales, we knew the search for unusual focal beads was a job for us. As you can see by the photo, no two beads are exactly alike. 

Size info: Approximately 30 x 10mm, with a 1.8mm hole. 

*Creating Tibetan-style beads requires several steps to complete. There are several ways the dyes and patterns are applied. It can be "batik" style: wax is applied to the agate stone to create the design. Beads are then dipped in colored dye, dried and then the wax is removed to reveal the decoration. Another technique etched: coat the beads in dye and then etch in the design. Etching removes the color and leaves the decoration revealed. With both methods, beads are stabilized with heat to insure colors and design are permanent. 

A note of caution: As much as surfers and swimmers love these Tibetan-style beads, prolonged exposure to water, salt, or perfume might cause fading over time.
