Cheers! 2024 is here and so is a new batch of Monthly Mixes. This year we are raising our glasses, our mugs, our to-go cups!! Each month we're bringing you a delightful beverage-in-bead-form...though they may look delicious we must warn you: don't drink the beads!
In 2024 we're also trying something new...we thought it would be fun to highlight single shapes and/or sizes and/or styles for each mix. May is 8/0 Delicas!
The Soda Fountain mix pays tribute to a classic vanilla milkshake...topped with rainbow sprinkles, of course! An array of sparkling-lined delicas in a field of frosty white, how fun! While sitting in a 1950s replica diner in, of all places, a Cabo San Lucas resort, Drea came up with the idea. The cylindrical Delica shape, so similar to sprinkles, is the cherry on top!

Soda Fountain Fun Facts from Drea:
-My grandparents met at a soda fountain! Too shy to say hello, my grandfather sent a friend to ask my grandmother out for him. She sent that friend back with a message: "if you want to go out with me, ask me yourself!" Apparently he did!
-Was that soda fountain the famous Pop's? If you've read Archie Comics you may remember Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe in Riverdale (modeled after my hometown of Haverhill, MA). The real-life Pop had three locations downtown, including one called The Chocolate Shop.
-Where I grew up a milkshake was just flavored milk, what most know as a milkshake--with ice cream--is called a frappe! Frappe rhymes with rap.
