Each year, Kate travels to Durfort, France to teach jewelry and sewing classes, and each year, she finds a corner of this small French town that stops her in her tracks. On her 2025 trip it was the old grist mill on the outskirts of town... she fell in love with the place. Ancient stone wheels worn smooth by centuries of grain, timber beams darkened with age, and shafts of light filtering through dusty windows... it's the kind of place that makes time feel like it hasn't moved for hundreds of years.

This mix captures the palette of the mill: chalky ivories and warm latte tones of the millstone, dusty teal blues of aged patina, golden ambers of sunlit grain, soft mauves of weathered wood, and the rich earthy browns of Picasso-finished glass. Together they feel timeless, artisan, and deeply French.
