Just Enough: 8/0 Metal Seed Beads - Gilding Matte Plate

Sometimes we need "just enough" for a project and that's what we've discovered with the 8/0 Metal Beads for The Great Bead Extravaganza. Made in America, these brass, plated seamed beads the work horse of the beading industry. They do not replace sterling or gold filled seamless beads, but for much of the jewelry being made today, they are a great match. Their size and shape mirrors a 3mm bead in size. You may get a few in your bag where the seams don't meet, but we hope you will agree that it's a small price to pay for an affordable, sturdy bead that is so good looking. A visit to the factory in Providence, Rhode Island is like stepping back in time; it is all done the same way it was 150 years ago. The hole size fits 0.5mm Cotton Cord, 0.5mm Chinese Knotting Cord, and 4 Ply Linen. We used them in our Bollywood Bracelet Project and they look fantastic.
