Faceted Lapis- 4mm Rondelles

Lapis has been a treasured part of Near Eastern and Far Eastern Jewelry since 700 BC. Along with Amber and Coral, it was the gem of choice in Tibetan and Afghan tribal adornment. Lapis jewelry, belts and headdresses have been passed down in families for centuries. Unfortunately because of war, hardships and societal change, the antique jewelry has almost disappeared.

Lapis rondelles are perfect for wire-wrapping each bead into a long chain, knotting as a necklace or incorporating into a wrap bracelet.

Project Ideas: We love a 4mm rondelles in laddered bracelets, Tapestry woven cuffs, and of course earrings!

Sizing Info: 4mm, with a 0.8-1.1mm hole. For knotting, we recommend Fine C-Lon. For wire-wrapping, either 24 or 26 gauge would work well. Lapis are natural stones that have been color enhanced via dyeing.
