Considered the work horse in the industry, the nylon jaws of this heavy-duty plier will really take the kinks out of almost any wire. For the more serious metal-smithing junkie, this is the straightener of choice.
Technique Tip: Replacing your nylon jaws with new ones is really about how often they are used and the wear and tear you put them through. My jaws need replacing about every two years. It's easy to do now that they come pre-drilled. In the old days, we had to create our own holes! All you need is a tiny Phillips head screwdriver to remove the old and put in the new. As always, try to recycle the used jaws.
