Across Cultures needed an update…many of the trade, tribal, and vintage components we once used are no longer available, and remaking a classic isn’t easy. Grace stepped up to the plate with a beautiful design and an idea of how to give this standard a fresh update. “I love Across Cultures, it was one of the first things that captured my heart when I first started to work at beadshop. Trade beads come and go and I wanted to see if I could evoke a similar feeling using 6/0s.” She also played with metal beads mixed into the seed bead portion, added our fun new Czech Glass Rollers, and created a nautical vibe in blues and mixed metals. Get ready to dive in, you’ll love this mermaid-worthy project.

Under the Sea
Project Map
Under the Sea is based on a vintage beadshop design. Made up of several sections, almost like components, they are gathered and then secured together. Be sure to measure your wrist and factor the button and loop into your final length. Whether you string on Tuff Cord #3, Regular C-Lon or 4 Ply Waxed Linen, the results are a fun and relaxed chunky bracelet you’ll get plenty of compliments on.
