Currents- Seal Gray (5 Pieces)
8-13mm African Glass Beads, IHD: Appx 2mm
Unit: Pkg
$3.95 USD
Among the rocks and reefs of California, you can usually spot native seals. Their coats are deep gray, much like these recycled glass beads. For hundreds of years, recycled glass beads have been made by the Krobo People of Ghana. Using a method of first grinding the glass to powder, the glass is then heated and poured into clay molds. A leaf from the Cassava tree is placed in the center to form the hole. When the glass is baking, the leaf disappears and you have a bead!
Project Ideas: We love Currents in the Storm Series necklaces, The Zen of Stringing, and Born Yesterday.
Imported from Africa. Please remember that these beads are handmade in small batches, and sizing and color can vary from one batch to another!
Sold in package of 5 beads.
