Inspired by the fantastical world of Pop Surrealist artist Camille Rose Garcia, Surreal Obsidian transforms Miranda’s Mystic August 2026 Mix into a richly textured wrap bracelet filled with color, contrast, and unexpected detail.
The name is a nod to Garcia’s 2021 solo exhibition, Obsidian Butterfly, which included the painting Into the Mystic, the original inspiration for Miranda’s mix. Electric blues, shimmering aquas, glowing chartreuse, and flashes of deep raspberry emerge against a dramatic foundation of black, echoing Garcia’s dreamlike balance of beauty, mystery, and shadow.
Kate combines Miyuki Drops, Half Tilas, seed beads, and bugles using Infinity Stitch and macramé techniques. Black leather frames the beadwork, while a hammered gold button adds a warm finishing touch. Follow our project map and create your own small piece of wearable surrealism.
