Falling in love with a bead is not that easy for Janice after 40+ years in the bead biz...so when she saw this Bronzed Hematite, she knew immediately what she wanted to make: a delicious 5 wrap in a new pattern of 1-2-1-2. Luckily, there are just enough beads on 2 strands to make a 5 wrap ladder bracelet for her wrist (6-¾”).
With just 4 ingredients, you can make a really fun wrap bracelet. Here is how she did it for a 5 wrap bracelet to fit a 6½ to 7 inch wrist:
Start by cutting your leather 3 yards long. This 5 stack needs plenty of leather for the extra wraps and we don’t want you to come up short.
To secure the button clasp she started the bracelet using macrame, just like our Pattern Stack project. Download the PDF and follow steps 2 & 3.
For the laddering section, she used Tuff Cord #2 and strung a pattern of a row of 1 bead followed by a row of 2 beads, followed by another row of 1 bead and so on. Note: When selecting Tuff Cord from the SHOP TAB, please make sure you choose Tuff Cord #2 before you add it to your cart.
If your wrist is 7 1/4 to 7½ inches, cut 3-½ yards of leather and do a pattern of 1-1-2-1-1 to extend the beads out to get your desired length with two strands of beads.
