Sacred Journey
Project Map
Project and Sample by Janice Parsons
When a nest of sea turtle eggs hatch, the babies’ journey to the ocean is perilous...and sacred. Janice had this in mind as she created this five-wrap bracelet. Using infinity stitch and a selection of ocean-hued seed beads, she really conveys the journey in her patterning. The tiny turtle sliders just make it all the sweeter! Instead of sliding them onto the leather, she ladders through them, stabilizing with seed beads to help keep them in place. Such a smart idea and a fun new use for our beloved slider beads!
