As useful as it is beautiful, the prickly pear produces edible fruit after a profusion of big pink blossoms. In her playful Prairie bracelet, Janice combined shades of magenta, purple, and orchid C-Lon macramé on fuchsia strap leather. Heart sliders big and small circle the length of this 4-wrap design, accented with silver plate metal seed beads. Vibrant hues and rich texture combine in this versatile, must-make design.

Prickly Pear
Project Map
The total length of Prickly Pear is 28-1/2 inches including the 3/4” clasp. This 4 wrap design will fit comfortably on a wrist up to 6-1/2 inches. The macramé sections vary from 2” to 6”. Silver seed beads are sprinkled throughout the macramé sections in repeats of 3 or 4 rows. Frame color blocks of macramé with smaller sliders and punctuate with large, bold sliders to create a richly textured design.
