Old Town 3.23. Recipe

For 2023's Monthly Mixes, we're looking at "The World Around Us." Be it a place, a work of art, a piece of music, even a scent! For March, Drea simply looked around...

 

The heart of Alexandria, Virginia, is in Old Town. Charming and bustling, this historic area is known for its shopping and restaurants, a few original cobblestone streets, red brick sidewalks, and gorgeous views of the Potomac River. The colorful 18th century townhouses steal the show, however...in every hue imaginable, these painted homes are often decorated to the nines for holidays and stand out even amongst the brightest flowers of Spring. This mix is an ode to March in Old Town...just before the cherry blossoms and pear blossoms turn the town pink and white, the brightest colors you'll see are these homes. A muted rainbow, just like these Opaque Frosted Glazed beads--some of Drea's all-time favorites!
