Memories of Lydia
Project Map

April 22 is both Earth Day and the birthday of Lydia, our Founder (and Janice's mother). She was a very special person who we have nicknamed "Our Fearless Leader" because there was nothing that stopped her; she was a force to be reckoned with!
In this project, Janice was inspired by a Limited Edition Mix of Giveaway Pearls and a strand of peacock blue nugget FWP's that reminded her of Lydia. "My mother was in love with pearls and jewelry in general. I think she would have worn this wrap bracelet. That makes me happy" ~janice
Using KO thread, this four-wrap bracelet is truly "micro-macramé". We don't recommend KO for your first macramé project because the thread is so thin. Like sister project, Poetry in Pearls, Memories of Lydia can be done on Micro C-Lon and beginners will find that thread is easier to use. Be sure to review the Poetry handout*, the Macramé Skill Builder and the project map. And have fun! Lydia would want you to celebrate beads and Earth Day... Happy Birthday, Lydia!
Please join us as our worldwide community gathers on Facebook and YouTube at 10:30am Pacific Time on April 22, 2026. It’s so much fun to go live with us and bead together! After the live broadcast the video will be available above.
Sign up for our Newsletter to learn about all our new projects, as well as updates on LIVE broadcasts, new product, and of course…SALES!
* Please Note: Our handout for Poetry uses Tuff Cord, which we no longer use. We now use Micro C-Lon or Fine Weight C-Lon for Micro-Macramé.
