Project and Sample by Michelle Phipps
Hailing from Saskatchewan is our friend Michelle Phipps, whose mother lives at the beautiful Last Mountain Lake. Michelle is starting us off with a Kumihmo style called the Kongoh-Gumi. This is an 8 element beaded braid with blunt ends. With two Colorways, this one, Last Mountain Lake, has a two-color pattern. Its sister, Land of Living Skies, has three. There is a small difference from the handout for this two-color colorway:
Two Color Way:
• 0.4mm CKC - Poseidon
• 8-4702 rainbow Peacock - A (dots)
• 8-4703 Nebula Blue - B (main)
Stringing Pattern:
Approx. 40 - 50 beads each cord for 6–7-inch bracelet
• Warp 1 & 5 (dots) - A
• Warp 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 (main color) - B
Please join us as our worldwide community gathers on Facebook and YouTube at 10:30am Pacific Time on February 14th, 2023. It’s so much fun to go live with us and bead together! After the live broadcast the video will be available above.
