Referred to as “medicine man beads” in Ethiopia, these handmade Venetian beads are from late 1800's. There is nothing “perfect” about them after two hundred years of history except their positive energy is still palpable. Beautiful in their simplicity and coloring, they were coveted for their beneficial, medicinal attributes. At one time, they were probably worn by the tribal healer and hence the nickname. They look great in an Across Cultures design.
