Project and Sample by Danielle Wickes
This beautiful project features 10mm Faceted Melons dressed up with a lace of 11/0 seed beads and drops. The thread path to create the design is easy and refreshing, with the possibility to be customized and to become different styles of necklace as well as a bracelet. In her step-by-step handout and the accompanying live class, Danielle will guide you through creating the design and how to personalize it.
This design is worked from the middle portion of the necklace. A chain is later added on each side. You can begin with a long strand of beading thread, 90 to 120 inches depending on the necklace length you wish to achieve, leaving a 30 inch or longer tail at the start that can be used later for completing the chain on one side.
We recommend experimenting with the many other colors available in each of these beads from beadshop.com to achieve new and unique looks. Danielle is picturing a blue version that looks like water drops and even a metal version with transparent glass, for example, for a stellar star-dusted look.
Please join us as our worldwide community gathers on Facebook and YouTube at 10:30am Pacific Time on January 22nd, 2025. It’s so much fun to go live with us and bead together! After the live broadcast the video will be available above.
