Tricks to Looming- Happy New Year

Project By: Sam Applegate
Sample By: janice Parsons

In this woven bracelet, Colette was inspired by the colors of the holiday season. Celebration uses Janice's pebbling technique as shown in the downloadable PDF to create a fluid and randomized look. Through careful selecion of beads, Celebration flows from green and red to golds in a seamless transition. Please watch the video for all looming instructions and download the PDF for the pebbling technique.

Everyone has a different wrist size and so you need to begin first with measuring your wrist. Once you have that number, you can plan how much beadwork you want and how wide your suede cuff will be. With an extra wide bracelet, giving your design enough of a fabric cuff is important for it to be structurally sound. Watch the video and download the freee handout which goes into detail regarding all the techniques to make this bracelet.

In addition, please explore the other designs of Tricks to Looming and Bead Weaving. There are downloadable patterns for all of Sam’s designs. I hope you enjoy making these as much as I do! We would love to see your finished products. Hopefully, we can post your creation on our Facebook Page. Happy Beading!
