Drops- Black Transparent

A stunning blend of opaque black glass and transparent glass in subtle stripes. the black is opaque and the overall appearance is that of a solid black bead...But, when held up to the light, the transparent glass is apparent and some areas may look to be an eggplant color. Although "mercury" is in the name, these stunning drops actually don't contain any  mercury. The coating has a silvery finish and it's called Mercury. It has been applied over mottled beige glass, which gives it an old world look. If you want to wire wrap, 22 gauge wire will fit nicely.

Note: Occasionally beads coated with this finish, "mercury" will tarnish from exposure to damp or wet conditions, very much like sterling silver. Please store in a dry place.
