Constellation Jewels- Pleiades

Project Info:

Level: Beginner

Estimated time: 4-6 Hours

By Sam Applegate

Ancient Greek sailors were cautioned to only sail when Pleiades was visible in the skies. Known as the sailing queen, this long-ago star formation, part of the Taurus Constellation, protected those at sea. We think it might still have magic to work today. This project explores a combination of stringing and wire wrapping skills to create a cohesive jewelry set. Techniques include patterning and stringing gemstones, using end tips, and wire wrapping beads and briolettes.
