A color-study in two tones that shade into each other, the Illusion Cuff comes together as if by magic. Blaine gives off a cool vibe in contrasting shiny and matte shades of green. There is no escaping it, this color pallette is a show stopper! We used the Jewel Loom for this project, but you can also use Sam’s method of using the design board as a loom. Pick your colors and follow along with our PDF pattern, end with a Loomed Bracelet Finishing Kit and presto! Your bracelet is complete!
This design uses two colors of 8/0 seed beads with beads leftover to use in another loomed project. The sample in the project map below is our Randi Cuff in the Gold and Gray colorway. Check it out to acquaint yourself with the overall layout of the sample and substitute the suggested colors for Blaine. Review the techniques below to complete the Illusion Cuff:
Watch the video on the Jewel Loom page for tips on warping the loom, or watch Sam’s video on using a design board as a loom in the video above.
Download the Project PDF for the pattern and project notes for Illusion Cuff.
To finish, download the PDF Handout for Holiday Cheer and review the steps for adding the slide tube to each end of the bracelet.

- The finished cuff when worked in 8/0 beads measures 5 3/4”. You may adjust the size up to 8 1/2” using the extender chain in the Loomed Bracelet Finishing Kit.
- Start with either of the two bead colors used in the project, as the pattern is mirrored and will make no difference in the finished result.
- Watch the video on the Jewel Loom page for tips on warping the Jewel Loom, or watch Sam’s video on using a design board as a loom in our Tricks to Looming video.
