Project and Sample by Janice Parsons
This project is the sister to Ming, a collection of freshwater pearls and lapis launched in January 2020 that was so popular Janice was inspired to do this new design and collection!
“Unlike Ming, the projects I made with this new collection is done with macramé, not Soft Flex. This piece reminds me of my visit to Beijing many years ago…a city of opposites and similarities; traditions and innovations that feed off each other…a unique, thriving city.” -Janice
Janice created two projects from this Curated Collection. The first she calls Simply Pearl, which can be worn with or without the Lapis Disc. The second is Beijing, which can be worn with the pearls and disc as a necklace or on its own as a wrap bracelet. It’s up to you!
Take note: beadshop.com creates Curated Collections on a very limited basis. They are not kits, but a collection of beads and components with which you can create anything you like! The projects we create are meant to inspire, and we hope you’ll remake them or anything else your heart desires! To create Janice's project, you will want to also have on-hand these tools and supplies that are not included in this kit: Micro C-Lon (Janice uses Olive), Medium Flexible Eye Needles, GS Hypo Cement OR Zap Glue, Thread Snips, 2 Pairs of Clampers, and a Project Tray and Insert.
In each Collection, you'll have enough materials to make 1 -2 necklaces or bracelets. Each kit is packaged in an organza bag and includes:
- 1 Pearl Button
- 6 Pearl Rectangles (15-16mm x 18-20mm)
- 1 Strand Almost Round Pearls ( 7.5mm)
- 1 Strand Faceted Lapis Rounds (4mm)
- 18 Faceted Lapis Cubes (4.5mm)
- 30 Faceted Sunstone Rondelles (4mm)
- 5 Blue Enamel Rounds (6mm)

1 Lapis Pi Disc (50mm)
All items except the button are exclusive to this kit, and not available for individual sale.
As with all our limited edition items, we truly have a limited amount, and once they are gone, they’re gone!
Remember, adding to your cart and not checking out does not mean that Curated Collection is reserved for you! Someone could easily buy it out from under you. Only when your order is complete is the product guaranteed to be yours.
