Each month in 2025, one of our favorite films sets the scene for a stunning new bead mix, and here is June, a sparkling tribute to Priscilla, Queen of the Desert

This month’s mix struts onto the stage in full glam, inspired by the glitz, grit, and glory of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. While our bead palette is a nod to the show-stopping costume from the stage production, the entire world of Priscilla—both screen and stage—is a feast for the senses. 

The film won the Academy Award for Best Costume Design in 1995, and it’s easy to see why. Every look told a story, vibrant, proud, and wildly original. The stage show only turned up the volume, with costumes so dazzling they became characters in their own right. This mix celebrates that legacy of fierce creativity and unapologetic self-expression.
