Project and Sample by Drea Carbone
When I think of flannel I think of Northern Maine. Dotted with beautiful lakes and rivers, the thick forests of Aroostook County are home to more than just moose. Maine’s largest county may not be heavily populated, but the folks living there are the type whose families have been around for generations and their way of life is set in stone. Hard workers with a sense of small-town community that goes above and beyond…there’s a reason they say Maine is “the way life should be.”
Drea’s new laddered cuffs have a distinctively New England spin. Practical, simple, and great results. In Aroostook, Drea tries her hand at recreating a classic red-and-black flannel pattern. It may not be as cozy and soft as that favorite shirt, but it is pretty cute!
