Project and Sample by Drea Carbone
Inspired by Jann Allen
Another holiday, another garland for your ears! When Drea saw Jann Allen's December Monthly Maker submission, she knew they needed to be a project! Instead of stitching along the outer edge of the hoop, you stitch along the side...and repeat on the other side! Your end result is a wide, cuff-like hoop and they look so pretty on!
There's not a video specifically for this sample, and with Kate in Tucson we aren't doing a live--don't let that deter you! I promise, it's easy-peasy. Review the original video from November 29, 2023. You're still using brick stitch just as we did in the originals, you're just moving it to the side, and doing it twice! A mix of 8/0s makes up the bulk of these earrings, and a tiny 11/0 golden edging completes the look.
Have fun and happy beading!
