A supernatural being of power and strength, the Thunderbird is the stuff of legends. Found in many forms across many American Indian cultures, it has been particularly prominent in the Pacific Northwest. Found in totem poles, cave carvings, beadwork and quillwork, and used as signatures, the Thunderbird as a spirit being is identified with strength and power.
