Vintage Pearls 6.21 Recipe
Project Map
June's birthstone isn't a stone at all...but a pearl! We can't get enough of pearls here at beadshop.com...so we were only too delighted to make this blend. Both Janice and Kate were reminded of the old pearl strands brought into The Bead Shop to be repaired...vintage pearls cherished by daughters and their daughters in shades of cream, soft peach, and pale pink.
Thus, the ladies chose an array of Miyuki 6/0s and Cubes to start, and finished off the blend with just a sprinkle of Miyuki Baroque Pearls...j'adore! It's a great opportunity to get your hands on several of these pricier beads all at once, each tube has a few of each color of Baroque! This mix boasts beads that glow from within, with a gorgeous luster coating, and with that "natural nubby" texture we love. They all come together in a perfect harmony of shades and shapes.
Janice has a Stretch Therapy design in mind for this mix. We think it'd also be lovely in a Zen of Stringing or a West County Cuff. You can find many ideas of what we’ve done with past Monthly Mixes here.
