Using a combination of stones that blend to create a calm aura, Karen has made a personal mala that speaks to what brings her serenity. Traditionally, a mala is used in Buddhism for meditation and chanting. With 108 beads plus a guru bead, they are both functional and beautiful. In this sample, Karen departed from the classic all-one-bead design by using a variety of stones. In this project, you will learn to knot using the classic pearl knotting method.
