Memorable Memory Lane....
I know many of you have found inspiration from our samples and I could not resist making my own version of Herringbone Weave done by Nicole Anderson. Using the Leather and Mirage Beads, I have tried to create something that invokes the feeling of living in New York City during the 1970's. Here is the story that inspired Setting the Mood.... Many years ago, Janice was renting a spare room on Central Park West in a penthouse in New York City. She was just out of school and looking for her first job. Her roommate was an executive at a mid-town Manhattan cosmetic company. Her name was Valerie and besides being the former wife of a famous newscaster, she was also one of the inventors of the mood ring. Janice shared that story with me when we received our first shipment of mirage beads. Remembering the ring and how it would change colors with your body heat was part of the story Janice told us.

"Those were the days!" Janice commented. " I had such a moment of recall when the mood ring came alive again with the making of 'mirage beads'. It gives me such great pleasure to see them used by a new generation of young designers.... and one so talented as Brittany Ketcham."
