When Kate started doing live broadcasts, no one knew it would open the door to a permanent friendship with a bead in DENMARK! Gitte, our beloved Facebook Live moderator, has long volunteered her time to help us out here at BSDC, and we are always looking for ways to show her our gratitude. Asking her to concoct a Monthly Mix seemed like one more way we could let her shine!
Gitte knew right away what her inspiration would be...a beloved cat, Sampson. A true companion, this cat was something special! He would wait for Gitte to come home from work, perched on a windowsill, watching for her arrival. Social, loving, and missed...Samson passed away in 2015. When Gitte sees orange poppies in Copenhagen, she is reminded of Samson and knows that he never really is gone.
