We're always looking to innovate our work...and we're always inspired by the women innovators who came before us. Our trio of TGBE Midwinter Market kits are looking at how we ladder...Kate's taking it to the next level. Named for three women innovators (who, of course, had their ideas claimed by men), these kits are our pride and joy.
Known for her Hollywood glamour, Hedy Lamarr was more than just a pretty face--though the US government didn't want you to know that! A star of the silver screen in the 30s, 40s, and 50s, Hedy and composer George Antheil created a radio guidance system in support of Allied troops during WWII. Originally dismissed by the US Navy, the technology was later picked back up and put into use! Her ideas are still in use today...ever use WiFi? Thank Hedy Lamarr!
