Brick stitch is an ancient stitch, used by Egyptians as well as native Americans. It uses quite a different thread path than Peyote, attaching using loops of thread between the beads.
To learn with Emily:
  1. Watch the broadcast live on Facebook 8.16.17 at 10:30am Pacific Time or watch the video above at your convenience after it’s posted.
  2. Download Episode Notes: An active button will be available Monday, 8.21.17 about noon PT.
  3. Purchase Seed Bead School Inna Kit. Make along with the beads, thread, and needles Emily uses in the broadcast.
  4. Once you know the stitch, save your sample and then jump into doing a project in your favorite colors. Be sure to save your stitch samplers. Just tuck them away in your bead stash. You’ll be glad you did!

What a treat! This week on Facebook LIVE, Emily Miller shares with us a classic stitch that goes back thousands of years to Ancient Egypt. Known as Brick Stitch or Comanche Stitch, it is one that every beader wanting to learn bead weaving needs to know. And, of course, Emily makes it all so easy. In fact, Grace Noland joins her this week and learns with us! Watch the video and download this week’s Episode Notes to find Minute Markers, links to learning, and products—PLUS Emily’s seed bead charts, which you can download and print.
