Sand Cast- White Beach
10x12mm Glass Barrel Bead IHD Varies: 1.5-2mm
From recycled glass, the artisan bead makers of Ghana create beautiful white and tan sand cast beads. Living and working in the Krobo Mountains of West Africa, they begin by making a fine powder of the glass and heating it until it will pour into individual bead molds. A stalk from the Cassava tree is used to form the hole and as the bead is fired (in a kiln made from termite clay), the twig burns away, leaving a hole. Each bead is unique, so love the variations in size, shape and coloring. We highly recommend pairing this bead with our white padres for a classic, artisan design. Janice took full advantage of this pairing in Mendocino Set on Facebook LIVE.
