Brought by ship from Europe to Africa and then “the New World” almost 500 years ago, glass beads known as "Padre Beads" were given out by missionaries to the indigenous people in gestures of friendship. These bright, red beads with white centers are also known as "white hearts" and they are made today in the same way as the original. We have loved this bead and used it in so many projects, especially 5-7 Wrap Tahoe. Hole sizes are really varied and the leather we recommend for stringing is the .5mm...nothing heavier. Expect variations in size and shape.
Sold by the strand approximately 20 inches in length.
