African Turquoise is mined in Africa and is actually in the jasper family, not turquoise. Because the matrix of African Jasper and Turquoise are so similar, it has become so much in-demand now that new turquoise is no longer available. Holes are machine drilled so laddering with Tuff Cord #3 or C-Lon is a breeze. Beads are cube-shaped but expect wide variations in size and corners due to the level of difficulty creating a bead this shape.
Sold on 8 inch strands. Approximately 30-33 beads per strand. Imported by Dakota Stones.
