A very, very long time ago, tiny freshwater snails lived in the rivers and lakes of Wyoming during the Eocene Epoch (33-35 million years to be exact). One day, a big flood came and all that ancient life got trapped in stone forever...but, not the end! Today that fossil stone is being made into beads and if you look very closely, you can see the tightly coiled mollusk shell those snails called home. Not perfect in any sense, each bead resembles a little pebble...not perfectly round but with lots of curb appeal. Holes are machine drilled so laddering with Tuff Cord #1 is a breeze. Beads are round but expect slight variations in shape, color and size.
Sold on 8 inch strands. Approximately 33 beads per strand. Imported by Dakota Stones.
