Carnelian is a Chalcedony stone that dates back to Greek and Roman antiquity. Used by the Romans to carve crests and profiles. The image would then be dipped in wax and used as a seal for important documents. Mined all over the world, especially Brazil and India, carnelian is imported by Dakota Stones, maker of fine stone beads. Each bead is machine drilled but expect variations in color and size as these are natural stones. Perfect for Tricks to Laddering, the holes will easily work with Tuff Cord #1.
Sold on 8 inch strands. Approximately 48-50 beads per strand.
