beadshopStudio Porcelain French Fève Figures
$25.00 USD
Kate found these French fèves at the Vide Grenier (French Flea Market) in Durfort France this past summer.
A fève is a small trinket hidden in a king cake or similar dessert. The French word fève translates to 'fava bean', which is what was originally hidden in the cake. The themes of fève are very diverse and may include religious symbols, tools related to baking or even depictions of famous figures. Fèves have become collectors items.
You will receive a collection of four to five figurines. These are mostly traditional figures and animals. These date from the 1960's to the 1990's. They may show some wear in accordance with age as is shown in the photo.
Kate made matched bags of figurines. You will receive a random selection from the bags Kate put together. Photo 1
