Jatim beads are exquisite, handcrafted glass beads originating from Java, Indonesia, with a history dating back over a thousand years. These beads, often referred to as Javanese Trade Beads, are known for their vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and exceptional craftsmanship.

Inspired by ancient glassmaking traditions, Jatim beads typically feature millefiori (thousand flowers) designs, swirling motifs, and bold geometric patterns, reminiscent of early Venetian and Middle Eastern bead styles. Traditionally made using lampworking techniques, these beads were once valuable trade items, traveling along ancient trade routes across Asia and beyond.

These are modern versions of these storied beads made in Indonesia. Beads measure aprox. 20mm with a 3mm hole.
