Autumn Morning by Jane Ujhazi
Project: Half Tila Pathways, by Linnea Lortsher; Autumn Morning is the first Beader Showcase entry by Jane Ujhazi. Jane created a beautiful mix of colors that evoke the vivid tones of Fall. “I usually string beads rather than do any stitched beading on a regular basis. However, whenever my creativity wanes, a pattern project is a great way to learn a new technique, give my mind a break and still create something beautiful.” We really love the way Jane has interpreted this project and given it a new color story. The resulting bold cuff is a great piece to wear with the cozy fashions of Autumn. Jane continues, “I count on projects from the Beadshop to help me get back on track creatively!” She loves to mix different types of beads in her projects, using large rustic ethnic/tribal beads, in contrast with something sparkly, like Czech central cuts or Swarovski rondelles. If you’d like to see more of Jane’s work, stop by her Facebook page and say hello. Thanks for sending your piece over, Jane. We love it!
Jane’s project is based on the Half Tila Pathways Project. Download the PDF handout on this page. The handout gives directions for the original Pathways, made with SuperDuos. Scroll to the bottom of the PDF for an addendum that updates the project when using Half Tila beads.
